The study of industrial design begins with basic
training in design, using the basics of design and the scientific methods of
design (aesthetics and communication).
The basic course of study is becoming increasingly important because it forms
the base for the major fields of study in structural and technical design, and,
due to the growing minimalisation of structural components, the design of
objects is becoming more demanding, particularly in technical industrial
design. E.g. when an old mechanical part is replaced by electronic components,
the previous form loses all its former characteristics.
