What sort of future do we wish for?
What qualities should technologies, our communities and our relationships with ourselves have?
Who makes changes and takes responsibility for them?
The Master’s study programme in “Industrial Design” of the Muthesius Academy with its focus on Interface Design and Medical Design deals with central modern and future questions.
The four-semester Master’s programme in “Industrial Design” qualifies students for professional, interdisciplinary design work in a broad spectrum of activities in the fields of research, industry or services. It sets a design, developmental and strategic focus.
The offer of courses is oriented towards Bachelor graduates of Industrial Design and other disciplines. The direction of previous academic studies is less important, it is more the conviction to be able to create valuable synergies within one’s chosen profession.
This advanced academic course programme is geared particularly towards interested parties with professional experience.
Researching in design and designing in research that which will shape individual and common human life in the future – these are the main themes of the Master’s study programme at the Muthesius Academy of Arts and Design.
The students work with the creative tension between Interface Design and Medical Design: both content-relevant synergetic focuses convey competence for future-oriented design work. Humans are seen as actors of societal change but also as objects of discovery at the core.
Designers in the future will appear stronger in setting the impulses and directions of individual and common organisations and make these perceptible– this study course is designed with this model of the future in mind.
