The focus of the study of digital and interactive
media has an aesthetic, communication-specific and experience-related objective
in the design of digital media. The basic questions are:
What knowledge from classical communication theory can be transferred to
digital media ?
How can the interface of man/machine be designed communicatively and
intuitively and at the same time be equipped with a high degree of
user-friendliness?
What are the design-specific consequences of the altered communication
and reception behaviour of digital media users?
Students are
to acquire the ability to master design-related and media-specific questions in
the conception and realisation of digital and interactive media. An essential
part of the focus of study is to learn the technical basics (hardware and software)
and gain the necessary experience in project work with other institutions and
creative people.
